Each counselling session lasts for 50 mins. In the first session we talk about what it was that prompted you to come to see a counsellor. We will then discuss your possible options.

Welcome to Listening Ear Counselling Service

Hello, and welcome to my website.

 

My name is Mike Coles, and this is the LISTENING EAR COUNSELLING SERVICE, in Brentwood, Essex. I am a qualified counsellor.

 

Perhaps this is the first time you have ever looked for a counsellor. You may be wondering what counselling is all about; you may be wondering whether you actually need counselling and will it actually help. You may be trying to decide which counsellor you should go and see. Is it a male or female counsellor you would like to talk to?

 

A lot of questions, I know, but if you decide that it is me that you would like to contact, then I can guarantee that you will find me extremely friendly and welcoming, professional and relaxed. You can come and talk to me about anything no matter how big or small, serious or embarrassing you think the issue is. It’s always good to talk to someone who doesn’t know you, in what will be a confidential, safe and totally relaxed environment.

 

As your counsellor, my role will be to help you to explore your problems; to then help you come to understand these problems, and finally to help you to resolve, or come to terms with your problems. Clicking on “About Counselling” will tell you a little more about the counselling process.

 

People come to see me for many reasons, some of the main ones being:

  • Relationship Difficulties/Couple Counselling

  • Child Counselling

 

I have been counselling at the “Listening Ear” in Brentwood, Essex for many years now. I am also a child counsellor in an East End Secondary School. I adhere strictly to the code of ethics of the Institute of Natural Healing.

Areas Covered

I am based in Brentwood, Essex, but I do provide a counselling service for people all over this part of Essex which includes Chelmsford, Basildon, Romford, Billericay. Even if you are not from these areas, I do make home visits if that helps.

 

As people often have work commitments during the day, I offer evening and weekend appointments as well!
